ADEDAYO OJO – known as the Oba of London, was born in February 1973. He attended Loyola College in Ibadan and earned a B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan. With nearly 30 years of experience in oil and gas well drilling, he is a leading expert in Drilling Fluids Engineering. After moving to Newfoundland from Lagos in 2011, he founded the Nigerian Canadian Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (NCANL), which has become a key organization for Nigerians in Atlantic Canada. Relocating to London, Ontario, in 2020, he became active in the Nigerian Association of London and Area (NALA), contributing to its growth and serving on several committees, including the Constitution Review, Conflict Resolution, and Electoral Committees, the latter of which he chairs. Mr. Ojo is married to Edith and has three children: Kola, Bola, and Tola.
ENIKE OPOGAH – a versatile professional with expertise in technology, ministry, and business. As an Automation and Infrastructure Engineer, he specializes in cloud engineering, automation, and virtualization. He is also deeply involved in religious activities, serving as a pastor at Dominion City London, Ontario, Canada, and leading the Canada Arise Prayer Network, focusing on revival and prayer. Additionally, he is a board member of several organizations, including Goldlin Dimension Limited, which operates in sectors such as agrochemicals, petrochemicals, and solid minerals. Enike’s diverse roles demonstrate his ability to balance his professional and spiritual callings.
AUGUSTINE UWANDU – a professional banker with over a decade of experience in business development, SME portfolio management, credit, retail banking, customer experience, business administration, risk management, and remedial services. He holds degrees in Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic and Economics from Ambrose Alli University, an MBA from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and completed postgraduate programs in International Business and Business Analysis at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada. Currently, he is the Manager LIHC Clients at RAH Inc, a community leader in London, and a former Ambassador of Fanshawe College. He is known for his results-driven approach, dependability, teamwork, and strong work ethic.
CHIMERE OKORONKWO – a vibrant presence in London, Ontario, since 2012. He has been deeply involved in the local community and particularly active within the Nigerian diaspora. Dr. Okoronkwo was instrumental in the revival of the Nigerian Association London and Area (NALA), taking on various volunteer positions such as interim secretary and president. NALA has played a crucial role in fostering a sense of community, welcoming newcomers to London, and aiding in their settlement. Dr. Okoronkwo remains committed to supporting the association in various capacities as needed.
OGOOLUWA OLUSAKIN – as a seasoned HR professional, entrepreneur, and CEO of Everything Natural and Minegate, Ogooluwa brings a wealth of experience and dedication to every endeavor. Serving as the resident Pastor of God’s Favourite House since June 2017, Pastor Ogo (as he is fondly called) embodies spiritual leadership and community engagement. As a life coach, he guides individuals towards personal and professional fulfillment, while his ventures in real estate investment reflect strategic acumen and a vision for prosperous communities. Through his diverse roles, Ogooluwa inspires, empowers, and uplifts those around him, leaving a lasting impact on both business and society.

FUNMI OGUNSHOTE – a distinguished academic achiever, earning her B.Sc. in Chemistry with first-class honors and an M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Ibadan. Her professional career includes roles as a Quality Control Manager at Exton Industries and a Health, Safety, and Environment Professional at Shell Petroleum Development Company, Nigeria. In 2017, Funmi relocated to Canada and, supported by her family, fulfilled a dream by starting Amazing Bakery in 2020, where she emphasizes quality, customer service, and community. Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Funmi stays active with HIIT workouts and personal development. Her nomination for an esteemed award recognizes her remarkable journey, resilience, and unwavering dedication to excellence. She continues to inspire others with her passion and commitment.
CHINELO EZENWA – a dedicated mother, wife, and community engagement specialist who has lived in London, ON since 2015. She works as the Graduate Academic Advisor and EDI Specialist at the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Western University. Outside of her professional and community roles, Chinelo enjoys food, and TV, and books in the horror and comedy genres.

NASIR ABDULSALAM – known as Nas, is a Data Analyst and Data Scientist with a passion for travel and cultural exchange. Having lived on three continents before settling in London, Ontario 13 years ago, Nas brings a wealth of diverse experiences. He grew up in the middle belt of Nigeria, a melting pot of subcultures, and briefly served in the military after attending a military school. In London, Nas served as the secretary of the Nigerian Association (NALA) and volunteered with London Search and Rescue (LSAR). His cross-cultural interactions have broadened his horizons, fostered lifelong friendships, and opened many doors. Nas enjoys soccer, chess, rollerblading, cycling, and tennis in his free time. He is happily married to his lovely wife, Bukky.

AYOBAMI MACAULAY – a realtor with EXP Realty in London, Ontario, specializes in assisting first-time buyers and newcomers with navigating the Canadian real estate market. He provides educational content on Instagram and YouTube, covering important topics such as closing costs and mortgages. With his experience, Ayo offers personalized support to address the specific challenges of his clients, helping them transition into homeownership smoothly. His commitment to guiding his audience confidently and safely through the real estate process makes him a trusted resource for expert advice and insights.
DAMILOLA HADASSAH BABALOLA – a Canadian Registered Nurse (RN). She graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She is the convener of the DHB Feeds, an initiative that aims to empower and support the needy and less privileged in our community. The spotlight on the Rising Star category shines brightly on her initiative, DHB Feeds. The inaugural DHB Feeds event successfully engaged over 200 college and university students in London, Ontario.
DIANA NWOKE – a multifaceted professional, excelling as an accountant, cybersecurity expert, and entrepreneur. She founded Shades Of Glitz and co-founded Spark Alive Events, businesses that offer fashion and event services, known for their quality and innovation. Diana is also committed to community service, having established Crafting Life Skills, a nonprofit that helps immigrant girls and women gain new skills for a better future. She teaches international languages to students at the Thames Valley District School Board, showcasing her dedication to education and youth development. Diana’s focus on customer satisfaction and her leadership qualities have earned her a stellar reputation, making her an inspiring figure in her community.
JACQUELINE NSOR-EZIKE – a distinguished pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nigeria, is known for her dedication to healthcare and patient care. She moved to Canada in 2021 and has since contributed to the community through her expertise. Dr. Nsor-Ezike’s career is marked by her commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing pharmacy. She is respected for her clinical skills and compassionate care. Additionally, she is an advocate for human rights and enjoys community involvement, movies, and adventures.
